When you're eating at an Asian Restaurant in Garden Grove, you know you're going to get an authentic experience. This place did not fall short of that. I ordered the Bulgogi Chulpan Bibimbap (#15). As you can see from photo that the portions are generous. I'll just say this-it was so good that I cleared up that whole plate. The balance of sweetness from the bulgogi contrasted really well with the rice and lettuce-served on a hot dish so it stays nice and warm. Along with all the sides that come with it that you can use as a palate cleanser in case you need, I mean who doesn't want kimchi? It was a very satisfying meal. I can't not also recommend that Terra Beer always go really well with your food. If it is being offered, order it every time. I was also able to see a bunch of other dishes being served to other customers and they all looked incredible and I hope to try them the next time I return. The service here was really good, and the indoor seating is very open and spacious with good lighting. Definitely recommend
Carryout Experience 1. The portions are generous! I really like the breading of the tonkatsu! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! 3. There are plenty of indoor seatings! 4. The staff were friendly and honest about the pickup time! It took about 25 mins! 5. Parking lot is medium size but it's not crowded! Note: The food pickup is in the middle of the restaurant! We came here for dinner on a Thursday evening about 2 hours before closing. The restaurant only had two other parties dining at that time. We ordered the bossam (small), bulgogi, and braised beef short ribs for a party of 4. The bossam was probably one of my favorite dishes. I wish the cabbage leaves were a little bigger to better wrap the pork belly, but this dish was packed with flavor. This was my first time having bossam and I liked how the pork belly doesn't taste overwhelmingly fatty like other dishes. The bulgogi was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary. They are known for their braised short ribs. While pricey, it is a great dish to share with the table. There is a lot of meat and we ended up packing leftovers. The menu states that this dish comes with complimentary fried rice, but unfortunately when we followed up with our waitress she said that the kitchen was closed and they were unable to provide the fried rice for us. The portions are very shareable and the food is solid. It was partly our fault for coming towards the end of the day, but I felt like we were being rushes to finish our meal so it took a little bit out of the experience of this meal.
came here with a reservation for a party of 10 for my sister's graduation dinner & this was the perfect choice! there's definitely something for everyone here, and a great crowd pleaser. even my dad & grandpa, who only really eat Vietnamese food, enjoyed the food and flavors here. i'd give everything we ordered a 5/5 (galbjim, assorted soups, katsu, bibimbaps, seafood pancake), save for the pork stew, which was a 2/5 unanimously. galbijim was a bit lacking in the meat, however, given its price point. overall, delicious, and great for a large party of all ages!
This place is solid. Our table of six each got seolleongtang and everybody was happy. Good service and banchan was on point.
Yigah is the OG Korean restaurant in Garden Grove known for its delicious, authentic, comfort Korean dishes. Their menu has a variety of options such as braised short ribs, galbi, and bossam for all you meat lovers, bibimbap, seafood pancake, cold noodles, and different ox bone soup and noodles. Here's what we ordered: 1a. Braised Beef Ribs - This dish is definitely the star of the show! It has an impressive presentation with the torch fire melting that cheesy goodness. The beef ribs were extremely tender and full of flavor. You can also add rice cakes to the dish, which soaked in their savory sauce and was so yummy! We really enjoyed this one. 1b. Fried Rice - This fried rice dish is part of the Braised Beef Ribs dish. After you finish the beef bones, they will make fried rice with the leftover food and sauce and it's so good! This dish alone is massive and such a good deal (2 for 1 meal). 2. Seokuh Seolleongtang - This ox bone broth with brisket, flank, beef tongue, tendons, intestine, tripe, and clear noodles was absolutely delicious!! It was hearty and so tasty. Everything in it was tender and complimentary to the bone broth. Such a comfort food. I could slurp this all night! Must order!!! 3. LA Galbi - This is a new menu item. The LA Galbi comes out on a sizzling platter serving the beef bone-in with sautéed onions. Although good but not amazing, this dish was our least favorite out of all the ones we ordered. All the dishes are generous portions, so it's definitely meant for sharing. Service is good and parking is easy. Highly recommend this place.
Everything was delicious! Caution, the portions are HUGE so don't order with your stomach. We came for mother's day, and was sat immediately. It was nice they had large tables to accomodate bigger sized parties. We ordered the spicy braised beef ribs combo - it comes with seafood pancake and your choice of 2 rice or noodle dishes. For our 2 dishes, we ordered the yukgaejang ramen and the bulgogi bibimbap. The yukgaejang was SO salty - like incredibly salty to the point it was hard to eat. We felt bad to complain since we had already portioned out the dish into smaller bowls to share. Not sure if it was just a one-time bad dish but maybe i'd order the katsu or something. Bibimbap was good! I just like the regular one with veggies more. This one was more like rice on a skillet instead of the hot stone pot. We also ordered bossam - we thought we ordered too much food but actually, this one hit the spot! It was super yummy. Overall, great experience and I'd love to come back another time!
Yigah does not miss when it comes to Korean food! Perfect for catching up with friends, having a nice dinner date, or celebrating with large groups! This most recent visit I was able to call in to make a reservation same day for a party of 10. When we got there they already had the table set up. Food portions are huge and you can share an order with 2 people. My favorite thing to do is ordering the Yigah Combo - currently at $139. Personally feel that it is sooo worth it. It can feed 4-6 people in my experience. If you are small appetite individuals, it can feed to 6 and feed up to 4 comfortably. It comes with a large seafood pancake and galbijim and 2 orders of noodles, signature, or bibimbap! Bossam is really good time. I recommend ordering the yigah combo and adding on if you feel its not enough food. Unless you dont mind all the leftovers!
Great restaurant for a homemade kind of meal. It's very clean inside and feels very new. The restaurant is quite spacious and has 2 areas for seating. Parking is easy. I ordered the short rib with rice cake and purple rice. The meat was cooked perfectly. Super tender and flavorful with potato and carrot. Service is ok-/ Taking off one star because I think the price is steep and the banchan aren't that great. It's about $100 for this entree (4 short rib bones). There are additional add ons available (cheese, rice cake, etc). I really like the purple rice here. It paired nicely with the meat.
